How your money is handled
Posting a role means depositing real money up front. Here is exactly where it goes, when it moves, and what happens if no hire is made — written especially for employers.
Stripe processes every payment
Every payment, refund, and payout is processed through Stripe, a global payments provider used by millions of businesses. Your deposit goes to Stripe, not to a bountiii account: bountiii does not hold the refundable bounty in its own bank account.
What you pay when you post a role
At posting you are charged the following through Stripe. Only the bounty is refundable.
- Bounty (refundable referrer pool)
- The full fixed employer-funded bounty. It is the refundable referrer pool, processed through Stripe and allocated across the verified referral path on a confirmed hire after the qualifying retention period, or returned to you in full if no qualifying hire is made. bountiii does not hold the refundable bounty in its own bank account.
- Service fee (9% of the bounty, non-refundable)
- A separate fee charged on top of the bounty, taken at posting and earned because we begin providing listing, referral tracking, referral verification and platform administration at that point. It is not refunded if the role does not fill, if a hire leaves on or before Day 90, or if the role is cancelled, unless a refund is required by law.
- VAT (20% of the service fee)
- Value Added Tax at 20%, applied to the net service fee only. It is added on top of the bounty and is never taken from the refundable referrer pool.
When the bounty is paid out
The fixed employer-funded bounty is allocated across the verified referral path only after a confirmed hire and only after the qualifying retention period. Until then, the money stays with Stripe.
If no hire is made, or a hire leaves early
If the role is not filled, or a hire leaves on or before the end of the qualifying retention period, the bounty is returned to you in full. The service fee and its VAT are not refundable, because the platform service is provided from the point of posting, unless a refund is required by law.
Before you pay
The full Fee Terms are shown on the funding screen for every role, and you must accept them before any payment is taken.
