Fee Terms
These are the Fee Terms in force for funding a role. They are published here so you can read them in full before you create an account or commit any money. You will be asked to accept them on the funding screen, and no payment is taken until you do.

Each acceptance is recorded against the version accepted, with the date and time, so the exact terms you agreed to can always be reproduced. If the wording changes materially, the version changes with it and you are asked to accept again before funding another role.
The terms
Fee Terms: non-refundable service fee plus VAT, charged on top of the bounty at posting
The full fixed employer-funded bounty is the refundable referrer pool: it is processed through Stripe and is returned to you in full if no qualifying hire is made, or allocated across the verified referral path on a confirmed hire after the qualifying retention period. bountiii does not hold the refundable bounty in its own bank account. Separately, and on top of the bounty, a non-refundable service fee of 9% of the bounty plus VAT at 20% on that service fee is charged at the point of posting. You are therefore charged the bounty plus the net service fee plus the VAT on the service fee. The service fee and its VAT are earned because we begin providing listing, referral tracking, referral verification and platform administration at that point, whether or not a hire is made: they are not refunded if the role does not fill, if a hire leaves on or before the last day of the qualifying retention period you set for the role, or if the role is cancelled, unless a refund is required by law. All charges are processed through Stripe.
What you are charged, item by item
These are the same items, with the same wording, that appear on the funding screen for every role. Only the bounty is refundable.
- Bounty (refundable referrer pool)
- The full fixed employer-funded bounty. It is the refundable referrer pool, processed through Stripe and allocated across the verified referral path on a confirmed hire after the qualifying retention period, or returned to you in full if no qualifying hire is made. bountiii does not hold the refundable bounty in its own bank account.
- Service fee (9% of the bounty, non-refundable)
- A separate fee charged on top of the bounty, taken at posting and earned because we begin providing listing, referral tracking, referral verification and platform administration at that point. It is not refunded if the role does not fill, if a hire leaves on or before the last day of the qualifying retention period you set for the role, or if the role is cancelled, unless a refund is required by law.
- VAT (20% of the service fee)
- Value Added Tax at 20%, applied to the net service fee only. It is added on top of the bounty and is never taken from the refundable referrer pool.
- Service fee including VAT
- The net service fee plus the VAT on it. This is the non-refundable amount charged on top of the bounty.
- Total charged to you
- The amount charged through Stripe at posting: the bounty plus the net service fee plus the VAT on the service fee. Only the bounty is refundable.
The pound value of each item depends on the bounty you set for the role. The calculator on the For employers page works it out for any salary and bounty.
How acceptance works
The terms are shown again on the funding screen for the specific role you are funding, with every item priced in pounds. You must tick to accept before the payment screen opens, and your acceptance is timestamped and recorded against your account.
If you want your bounty back
You can take a role down at any time before a hire completes the qualifying retention period you set, and the bounty is returned to you in full through Stripe. The service fee and its VAT are not refundable, unless a refund is required by law.
Every payment, refund, and payout is processed through Stripe. bountiii does not hold the refundable bounty in its own bank account.
