Most questions have a quick answer below. If yours is not here, or you would rather talk to a person, use the contact form and we will come back to you.
If you are hiring
- Where is my bountiii held, and when does it move?
- It is held through Stripe from the moment you fund a role, and it is only released after a hire completes the qualifying retention period you set. The full detail, including what happens if you never hire, is on the For employers page. How your money is handled
- What exactly am I charged?
- The bountiii you set, a service fee, and VAT on that fee. Every item is itemised in the Fee Terms, which you can read in full before you create an account. Read the Fee Terms
- How do I get my bountiii back?
- Take the role down at any point before a hire completes the qualifying retention period and the bountiii is returned to you in full through Stripe. You can do that from the role's own manage page.
If you shared a role
- How do I check whether my share led anywhere?
- Paste your share link into the link checker and it will take you to that link's own status page. You do not need an account. Check a share link
- When would I be paid, and how?
- Only after someone you reached is hired and stays past the qualifying retention period the employer set for that role. Payment is made through Stripe. Sharing a role on its own is never paid.
- What about tax?
- A share you receive is income and it is your responsibility to declare it. The referrer portal explains how this is treated and what records we give you. Referrer portal
If you applied for a role
- Who decides on my application?
- The employer does, entirely. bountiii passes your application to them and takes no part in the decision, so any question about progress is best answered by the employer directly.
- What happens to my data, and can I have it deleted?
- Your application details go to the employer whose role you applied to, and nowhere else. You can ask us for a copy of what we hold, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Use the contact form and choose the data-request option. Make a data request
- A listing looks fake or unsafe. What do I do?
- Tell us. Every published role has a report link, or you can use the contact form and choose to report a role. We would rather look at ten reports that turn out fine than miss one that does not. Reporting a role
